How do I hire a dress?

Hire Periods

All our hires are for 4 days, longer hire periods may be arranged. Please email us at stonecollectivehire@outlook.com if you would like to arrange a longer hire period.

Local Pick up – For Newcastle based customers who select pick up and drop off, you will pick up your dress on the first day of your hire period and drop off on the fourth day of your hire period by 6pm.

Postal Hires - Postal Hires who have an event on a Saturday should start their hire period on the Friday. Postal Hires will arrive by Friday at the latest and end on the Monday, all postal hires need to be returned by 4pm on the Monday or fourth day of your hire. All postal orders included an express satchel.

Where do you ship to & how much do you charge?

We offer Australia wide shipping via express post. The estimated delivery time is 2 business days. Orders placed before 12pm AEST, will be processed on the same day, orders after 12pm will be processed the next business day.

We charge an additional $25.00 for return express shipping.

What is the process for returning the dress?

That’s easy. Just place the dress inside the dress bag then slip that inside the prepaid return satchel and drop it into your nearest Post Office or place it in the Yellow Express Box by 4pm of your final day. It is best to return the dress via the Post Office as you will then receive a receipt with your tracking number as proof of postage.

Do I need to clean the dress?

No you do not! We will look after all the cleaning of the garments. 

What happens if I damage a dress while hiring?

We understand that accidents happen however you must notify Stone Collective hire as soon as possible if something happens to your dress.

Any damage that occurs including, but not limited to, stains, tears, rips, pulls, fake tan marks, holes or otherwise are entirely your responsibility. If the damage is fixable you will be charged the repair / cleaning fee.

If your dress is damaged beyond repair, you are responsible for the full RRP. You may also be liable to pay any future loss of sales for the dress.

Card Authorisation - How do I pay for the security deposit?

For all orders placed through our website, Card Authorisation will automatically add to your cart at check out. If you remove it, we will be in touch to secure card authorisation before your order is shipped or processed.

For in store bookings, your card is stored when booking which will be charged should the garment be late, damaged or stolen.

Please note: This order will appear as a 12-month subscription of $0.00 but you will NOT be charged any additional amounts check out.

What am I charged?

Upon Check out customers are not charged when they secure their order. Stone Collective Dress Hire is then authorised to make an additional charge should the customer not return or damage their hired garment as per the terms and conditions.

What warrants getting charged an additional amount?

Late Fee(s) will be charged $30 per day.  

If the garment comes damaged and/or requires further care than our usual dry cleaning, you are at risk of being charged additional fees.

Upon return, we will assess the item along with our seamstress, Design by B to determine the cost of the repaid.

If the garment is ruined beyond repaid or not returned, your card be charged the full RRP with the card stored when checking out.

What happens if I don't pay my security deposit?

If you hire a dress and do not end up paying your security deposit, your order will not be shipped, and you will not receive a refund.
